Unveiling Creativity:
My Journey as an Artist Through the Years
My name is Rica, born in 1989. At 35, I felt my inner clock ticking and asked myself: If not now, when?

Looking back, every moment of my life, every positive and negative experience, every right and wrong decision has prepared me for this point. Much of what I have learned can now be woven into my work.

As a child, I always loved drawing and painting, and my parents constantly supported me. In art class, I was always the best, but the school system itself never really clicked with me. Still, I pushed through and eventually graduated with my diploma (A-levels).

After school, I finally had the chance to further develop my drawing skills while working part-time. I particularly enjoyed photorealistic drawing with charcoal, which remains one of my favorite techniques to this day. There's nothing more beautiful than watching a drawing take shape under my hands, and gradually realizing: this is turning out well, I recognize this person in the drawing. You study every feature, every shadow of the person you're drawing.

Through various twists and turns, I found my way to an international environmental charity, for which I created numerous drawings that gained admiration worldwide. My life was exciting: I traveled to America, became fluent in English, and built connections across the globe. But I still hadn't found my dream job. The desire for financial independence led me to the next phase of my life.

With my talent for graphic design, my career path became clear, and thanks to my drawing skills, I was fortunate to secure an apprenticeship at an advertising agency. Since 2017, I’ve been self-employed, running my own agency, Werbegrafikerin.at. I’m incredibly grateful to have the fortune of doing what I love for a living.

I’ve since gotten married, and together, we’ve endured difficult times over the last ten years, which has only brought us closer. During these years, I didn’t have much space to express myself creatively, so I reluctantly had to put my “hobby” on hold, except for a few exceptions.

Today, I stand here, stronger than ever and shaped by my experiences. I am convinced that this year the stars are aligned for me. The result, dear reader, is what you see on this page. Over the years, my creative drive has grown immensely, and now I finally have the space and inner peace to fully express myself.
